Note to iPad/iPhone users: Until Vimeo gets HTML5 embedding working, go here for all my animation examples
This project for the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Stanford Research Center was a combined effort of between myself and John Feather, an incredibly talented digital artist here in California.
Most frames have between 3 and 5 layers that were meticulously comped together in After Effects. All of the animation and rendering was in MAX using the vRay renderer. Modeling was done in Silo3D and displacement maps were built in zBrush and MudBox.
All textures were built in Photoshop, zBrush, and MudBox.
